About Us:

We are looking for a dedicated Out of Hours Provision Leader to join our team and lead our out of hours staff in delivering high-quality, engaging, and safe experiences for our pupils.

The Role:
As our Out of Hours Provision Leader, you will be responsible for managing and leading the out of hours team. This entails co-ordinating our breakfast and after school clubs during term time and the holiday club out of term time. You would need to ensure the safety, welfare, and positive development of pupils during extended school hours and out of hours club. You will actively promote and engage with play, supervise activities, and manage behaviour in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Hours: The hours will vary during term time and school holidays.

Term Time - 7.30 - 8.45 and 14.45 - 17.45 with an additional 3 hours per week for

admin - 24.25 hours per week

Holidays - Full time 37 hours per week between 7.30 and 17.45 Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, line-manage, and support the out of hours staff team.

  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour of pupils at all times.

  • Plan, organise, and supervise activities that are fun, purposeful, and inclusive.

  • Promote equality, diversity, and respect in all interactions with pupils and staff.

  • Monitor and support pupils’ wellbeing, adapting approaches for those with additional needs.

  • Oversee compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and food hygiene procedures.

  • Coordinate staff rotas, respond to staff absences, and ensure ratios are maintained.

  • Communicate effectively with the school leadership team, teaching staff, parents, and carers.

  • Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of the out of hours staff.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils at all times.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience in leading or supervising staff in a childcare, educational, or play-based setting.

  • Is confident in managing behaviour and promoting positive interactions with children.


  • Have, or be willing to undertake, DSL training to safeguard our children

  • Understands safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • Can plan and deliver engaging activities that meet the diverse needs of pupils.

  • Communicates effectively with staff, pupils, and parents/carers.

  • Is proactive, organised, and able to respond calmly to changing situations.
