Out of School Club Worker job summary
Core Purpose
- To assist in the day to day organisation of the Out of School Club in the morning and evening before and after school
- To contribute to a high standard of care for the children in a safe, caring, warm, friendly and learning centred environment.
- To provide safe, creative and appropriate play opportunities for the children attending the provision.
Main Duties (and specific duties/responsibilities):
- Support the preparation of activities and the programme of events effectively.
- Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all the children within your care
- To provide the highest standards of safeguarding and support for children and colleagues.
- Support the Manager in the induction of children into the provision.
- Have a close liaison with parents, school and other related agencies.
- Attend appropriate meetings.
- Carry out all activities responsibly, taking into account equality and diversity.
- To undertake domestic jobs when required, i.e. making snacks, cleaning.
- To be flexible within working practice.
- Work as a team.
- Work alongside management.
- To respect and honour confidentiality at all times.
- To be aware of the high profile of the club and to uphold its standards at all times.
Hours
There are 2 roles available. Both are based on working term time only as follows;
Role 1 - working 10 hours per week Monday to Thursday - 3.00pm to 5.30pm
Role 2 - working 9 hours per week Tuesday to Thursday - 3.00pm to 6.00pm
