What skills and experience we're looking for
The role:
Our adventure learning leaders are always looking for great people to join them, and right now are looking for Outdoor Learning Mentors to work with our Instructor Teams to support an outdoor education focused curriculum. Your role will include supporting the students in a range of outdoor & adventurous activities such as: Mountain Biking, Kayaking, Stand-up Paddleboarding, Rock Climbing and Orienteering as directed by the instructor.
About you:
- You ideally have experience in a similar role
- A highly motivated and flexible individual who can form positive relationships with students with a wide range of special needs in order to make a positive difference.
- Someone with a particular interest in teaching students with special educational needs, including those with behavioural, emotional and social issues.
- Resilience, patience and a sense of humour is a must.
- Driver desirable but not essential.

Outdoor Learning Mentor
£26,095 – £27,814 per annum, pro rata to £22,331 – £23,802 per annum for 37 hours per week, term time only. Plus generous pension and sick pay scheme.
As part of the Delta Education Trust, Delta Bespoke manages and runs a series of Adventure Learning Outdoor Education Centres for young people who struggle in mainstream education settings. Our curriculum is life skills based and offers practical experiences out in the community and in adventure learning programme.
We know the importance of listening to each family’s story. Our family’s involvement in their child’s education helps us to secure the best outcomes for our pupils. We provide ongoing support for families and carers to feel confident and self-assured in understanding and supporting their children at home and assist them through periods of change and transition.
