We are seeking a committed and proactive Parental Engagement Officer to join our team and strengthen the partnership between school and home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting families, improving communication, and promoting positive engagement in students’ education.

In this role, you will work closely with parents, carers, and staff to remove barriers to learning, support pupil wellbeing, and encourage active participation in school life. You will be a confident communicator, able to build strong relationships and provide tailored support to families where needed.

The ideal candidate will be empathetic, organised, and passionate about improving outcomes for young people through effective parental engagement.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Is empathetic, approachable, and committed to supporting families and young people
  • Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates resilience, initiative, and a solution-focused approach
  • Has experience (or a strong interest) in working with young people, families, or within an educational or community setting
  • The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving outcomes for young people and understand the vital role that positive parental engagement plays in student success.
