Part-time Caretaker/Handy Person job summary

Aboyne Lodge wish to appoint a reliable and conscientious part time caretaker/handy person to join our friendly and welcoming team. You will be responsible for repairs and maintenance, health and safety checks, some grounds maintenance and liaising with contractors. A driving licence will be an advantage but not essential.

This will be a part time post for two mornings a week from 8.00 - 12:00 term time only, with 5 days additional work over the school holidays on a flexible basis. There is some scope for flexibility of hours which can be discussed prior to interview.

Previous caretaking experience is preferable but not essential, as training will be given where required. You will be subject to stringent Safeguarding checks in line with our school policy.

You will need to be self-motivated, flexible and trustworthy, and have a good sense of humour.

Some overtime may be necessary to cover school lettings.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
