What the school offers its staff
Harewood is a very friendly, small village primary school on the edge of Leeds, with our children joining us from the village itself and the surrounding areas of North Leeds. We pride ourselves on knowing our children well and catering for their individual needs. We are looking for candidates who share our desire to work with every individual, to support and challenge them to achieve their full potential and maintain our excellent standards of attainment through care and commitment.
At Harewood, we are all expected to fulfil a number of roles and step in where needed, as is the case in small schools, but this makes the job interesting and varied. Our teachers are all curriculum leaders and teach across multiple year groups with split age group classes, but in return, work with our amazing children and supportive staff in a small school where everyone is known.
We are a Church School where a sense of valuing everyone and our values of Hope, Community, Forgiveness, Honesty and Courage underpin all that we do. Successful candidates will support and promote this ethos and our Christian Values but do not need to be religious themselves.
