What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our high-performing Language, Literacy and Numeracy team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a proven record of engaging young and adult learners.

The School of Language, Literacy and Numeracy are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified ESOL tutor to join our outstandingteaching team.

You will teach within our ESOL provision and preferably have the potential to teach across all levels. Our ESOL provision includes college and community-based courses, during the daytime and evenings, from pre-entry to Level 2 qualifications. You will also have the opportunity to teach on our Functional Skills English courses from Entry 1 to Level 2. This role would suit someone with an understanding of young and adult learners and the ability to deliver innovative learning opportunities to meet their needs.

We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers, who can demonstrate their enthusiasm and have a desire to work with adult learners. FE or community teaching experience and a formal teaching qualification is desirable, although if you are willing to obtain your teacher training qualifications, we would also like to hear from you. A CELTA or equivalent qualification is essential.

The successful candidate will be working 18.5 hours per week at our Watford and Hemel campus.
