Part Time Librarian job summary
The Role
Fixed Term Contract / Maternity Cover - Librarian Term-time only + Inset Days, Thursday & Friday 8am to 4.30pm
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and student‑focused Librarian to lead the day‑to‑day running of our school library, and help create a vibrant, inclusive space for our students.
You will be able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues and represent the school with professionalism at all times.
The Ideal Candidate will
Demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting and empowering young people.
Have experience working in a library or educational environment (school experience beneficial but not essential).
Be passionate about reading, literacy, and supporting young people.
Have strong organisational and communication skills.
Be confident using library management systems (training can be provided).
Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with staff and students.
Bring creativity and initiative to developing the library’s role within the school.
