Join Our Team

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and highly organised Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate practitioner to make a significant difference to the lives of children with additional needs and to lead our inclusive approach across the school.

The successful candidate will work alongside senior leaders, teachers, support staff, families and external agencies to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

As SENCo, you will:

Lead and manage SEND provision across the school.

Coordinate and monitor support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Work closely with teachers to ensure high-quality inclusive teaching.

Oversee the implementation, review and evaluation of provision maps and interventions.

Support the assessment and identification of pupils with SEND.

Liaise effectively with parents, carers and external agencies.

Coordinate annual reviews and contribute to EHCP processes.

Monitor pupil progress and use data to inform strategic planning.

Contribute to staff training and the development of inclusive practice.

Work closely with safeguarding and pastoral teams to support vulnerable pupils.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Has experience of working with pupils with a range of SEND needs.

Has completed the NASENCO qualification or is willing to undertake it.

Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Has strong organisational and leadership skills.

Is committed to inclusion and raising outcomes for all learners.

Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, families and external professionals.

Maintains high expectations while supporting individual needs.
