Norman Gate School is a nurturing,inclusiveand dedicated special school for pupils aged 3–11.Our pupils have a with a range of learning needs, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD and language and communication needs.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate

  • The ability to challenge, motivate and inspire learners
  • Good reflective skills and the desire for continuous improvement

About Norman Gate School

Norman Gate is a nurturing and inclusive special school located in Andover, Hampshire, catering for children aged 2 years 9 months to 11 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and a range of additional needs. We are proud to offer a highly supportive learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and personally.

The school currently has 110 children on roll, grouped into small classes of approximately 10–12 pupils, each led by a teacher and supported by two or three Learning Support Assistants. This structure allows us to provide individualised and focused learning experiences, tailored to each child’s unique strengths and challenges.
