Part Time Teacher of Art with Technology job summary
Chulmleigh Community College is a high performing, ambitious secondary school well known for exemplary behaviour and conduct. This is a school where teachers focus upon high quality teaching. Our GCSE results are consistently amongst the best in the South West. We demand and achieve high standards every day. The Art and Technology Departments are based in state-of-the-art facilities and are consistently over-subscribed at key stage four.
We are seeking to appoint a creative, highly motivated and engaging part time (0.4fte) Teacher of Art with Technology. The successful candidate will be a talented, skilled and innovative practitioner committed to delivering outstanding lessons across all ability groups in Key Stage 3 and 4. Candidates should demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the enthusiasm to inspire pupils. The ability to teach textiles would be an advantage. The work pattern of the part time contract is expected to be worked over two full days.
To allow for extra teaching provision the successful candidate will be offered a permanent increase in contract to 0.6 fte from September 2020 which will encompass a mainly Art timetable with elements of lower school Design and Technology.
Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers or suitably qualified NQTs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career within the supportive environment of our successful College.
Our recent Ofsted inspection, in February 2018, judged that our school remains a ‘good school’. The report recognised that the examination results gained by Year 11 pupils have continued to improve and outcomes have been consistently above the national average across subjects. Inspectors observed excellent standards of conduct around the school.
