The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Admin Officer to join our pastoral team. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of pastoral care and services within the school. Your contributions will help us maintain a nurturing and effective learning environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for the pastoral team, including managing exclusion documents and liaising with external agencies.
Assist the safeguarding officer with confidential administration and arrange meetings with social workers and external agencies.
Manage referrals to Children and Young People’s Services (CYPS) and coordinate new pupil admissions.
Respond to queries from staff, parents, and pupils, ensuring effective communication and support.
Maintain accurate records and documentation, including attendance and student welfare concerns.
Support the administration of the School Council, Parent Pay, and the online free school meal portal.
Offer first aid to pupils and manage medication needs, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to people at all levels.
Demonstrates good time management and the ability to work under pressure.
Is proficient in ICT applications and has strong typing and word-processing skills.
