We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and resilient Pastoral and Attendance Officer to join our dedicated pastoral team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to pupils' educational journeys by promoting excellent attendance, supporting positive behaviour and working closely with families, staff and external agencies.
Working under the direction of the Attendance and Behaviour Manager and Assistant Headteacher, you will play a key role in monitoring attendance, supporting pastoral systems and ensuring pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
About the Role
You will:
Monitor and maintain attendance records using BromCom and other school systems.
Liaise with parents and carers regarding attendance concerns and pupil welfare.
Support attendance improvement strategies and statutory attendance processes.
Provide administrative support for pastoral, behaviour and safeguarding systems.
Work closely with Heads of Year, pastoral staff and external agencies to support student outcomes.
Assist with managed moves and pupil support processes.
Help maintain a positive culture where pupils are supported to achieve their very best.

Has strong administrative and organisational skills.
Can communicate confidently and professionally with pupils, parents and colleagues.
Is able to prioritise workloads and work accurately to deadlines.
Has excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Is calm, patient and resilient when working in challenging situations.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Shares our commitment to high expectations, inclusion and pupil success.
Previous experience working with children, young people or within a school environment would be advantageous.
