Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a dedicated Pastoral & Learning Mentor to support students with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver targeted pastoral interventions, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help students develop essential life skills, confidence,resilienceand independence. Using trauma-informed approaches, you will play a key role in promoting positive wellbeing and engagement across the school.

Working closely with teachers,familiesand support staff, you willmonitorprogress, contribute to student reviews, and help create a safe, nurturing environment where every student can succeed.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people with SEMH needs,strong communicationand relationship-building skills, and a proactive, creative approach to supporting students. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and inclusive education would be an advantage.

Sunrise joined SENDAT Trust on 1st April 2022. It was previously called The Everitt Academy. It caters for up to 52 young people with a full EHCP for SEMH in Key Stages 3 and 4.

We are working with the LA to consider taking some Key Stage 2 students in the future.

As at Trust we are committed to trauma informed practice across all our schools and in all policies we work to. We have trained over 30 Level 5 practitioners and have an ongoing commitment to this. To support this work we have developed out TIS umbrella, which aims to show approaches and programmes that we use across the Trust under our overall TIS approach.
