Pastoral Support and School Transport Coordinator
Required as soon as possible
4 days a week (we will consider flexible working patterns) Term time plus INSET days
8.15am to 3.30pm including unpaid lunch time of 30 minutes - 27 hours a week
Rate of pay - NJC Scale 5, SCP point range 12-17 £29,542 - £32,046 plus London Fringe Allowance
(e.g. pro-rata salary £19,238 - £20,808 depending on experience)
Herschel Grammar School is a mixed, selective school graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible Pastoral Support and Transport Co-ordinator. The post holder will be responsible for providing support to all Heads of Learning and the Assistant Headteacher (Pastoral) to ensure high standards of pastoral care, pupil achievement, attendance, punctuality and behaviour. In addition, the successful candidate will manage and coordinate the school transport function. The appointment will be subject to a clear DBS search and we aim to appoint individuals who:
have good practical skills and attention to detail
are approachable, caring but firm
are able to work with teachers and students in a calm manner
have good standards of literacy and numeracy and ICT skills
are energetic, creative and hands-on in all they do
can work collaboratively in a team
can recognise the success in students, others and themselves, as the first building block to improvement
are extremely flexible and can cope with change
have an openness to training and personal development
