What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to understand a young
persons’ needs.
- Have knowledge and experience of pastoral.
- Have knowledge and experience of safeguarding.
- Have experience of working with children and young people in Special Educational Needs, ASC and SLCN.
- Have empathetic expectations of young people, and a commitment to understanding the various challenges which may present barriers to learning.
- Possess the listening skills to support young people, and their families through understanding their point of view in a non-judgemental approach.
- Have experience of processes and procedures around related policies, including staff training, assessments and the monitoring of children and young people.
- Possess the knowledge and experience of working with Social Care, MASH teams, including referral process and procedure.
- Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, young people, parents and the wider community.
- Be hard working, organised and proactive in their professional development.
Be a team player who can work effectively with all members of the New Bridge team.
