What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to understand a young

persons’ needs.

Have knowledge and experience of pastoral.
Have knowledge and experience of safeguarding.
Have experience of working with children and young people in Special Educational Needs, ASC and SLCN.
Have empathetic expectations of young people, and a commitment to understanding the various challenges which may present barriers to learning.
Possess the listening skills to support young people, and their families through understanding their point of view in a non-judgemental approach.
Have experience of processes and procedures around related policies, including staff training, assessments and the monitoring of children and young people.
Possess the knowledge and experience of working with Social Care, MASH teams, including referral process and procedure.
Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, young people, parents and the wider community.
Be hard working, organised and proactive in their professional development.

Be a team player who can work effectively with all members of the New Bridge team.
