We deliver an outstanding education to students in our impressive, purpose-built environment across two campuses with some of the highest quality learning environments in the country for children with complex needs.

We are excited to be offering a new role of Pastoral Leader at Columbus School and College to create a nurturing environment where all students feel valued and supported. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our learners ensuring their educational, social, and emotional needs are met with care and understanding. You will work closely with Phase Leaders and our dedicated Family Liaison Officer, as you develop and execute innovative pastoral interventions, and work daily with a our class teachers to give the wrap-around care and support for both our pupils and their families.

Columbus School and College provides a broad and ambitious curriculum that is profoundly focused on preparing learners for the future. We have high expectations of learners' progress across the key areas of communication and interaction; cognition and learning; sensory, physical health and development; social, emotional and mental health; and self help and independence. Each learner has a personalised curriculum closely related to their education, health and care plan (EHCP). The curriculum is designed through collaboration with parents and carers and, as necessary, other professionals and specialists.

We want children to be excited about coming to school and love learning. We want them to be motivated and challenged. Most of all, we want all our children to know they can be successful and feel proud of their achievements.
