Pastoral Leader job summary
Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more
Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Pastoral Leader to join our dedicated and collaborative Behaviour and Safeguarding team who jointly execute the role of deputy designated safeguarding lead, under the direction of the team lead. Our pastoral leaders also play an active role in maintaining high standards of behaviour, including supporting ‘On Call’, helping students who are most vulnerable to suspension to reflect on their behaviour through structured conversation and intervention as required. They also work with families to support good attendance through home visits and targeted mentoring.
To succeed in this role you will be a proactive team player, able to demonstrate resilience, be well-organised and able to keep accurate records. You will have knowledge of best practice in safeguarding, ELSA training and an understanding of multi-agency working; however, full training can be provided for the right applicant. Please see the job description for further insight into the role.
If you possess the above attributes and are as excited about the role as we are, we would welcome your application. We actively promote continuing professional development and encourage staff to pursue all enhancement programmes.
This is a fantastic time to join our small, vibrant and caring learning community at Six Villages. We provide students with a safe, positive environment to explore, learn, investigate and develop into confident young adults who are ready to enter an ever changing and competitive world. We aim to stretch, to stimulate and grow a love of life-long learning. We know that academic achievement of the highest order is within our reach and we strive to become a truly outstanding academy.
With this in mind we are looking for exceptional professionals to join our staff body who demonstrate the ability to achieve outstanding student outcomes and make a significant difference to the lives of the young people at Six Villages. The academy offers an excellent induction. We actively promote continuing professional development and encourage staff to pursue all enhancement programmes.
