Pastoral Manager job summary
The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Pastoral Manager to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M9 5UF.
The core purpose of the role will be:
- To work as part of the Pastoral Team within a specified Key Stage providing pastoral support to an allocated Year group (approximately 270 pupils per Year group).
- To work alongside Heads of Year in promoting and improving behaviour, attitudes and attendance.
- To support pupils to overcome barriers to learning using relevant interventions.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist HOY in maintaining pupil files.
- Attend Year meetings as published in the school calendar.
- Working with SENco, Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Year and Pastoral Lead and contribute to individual education plans and pastoral support plans.
- To undertake investigation of specific behavioural incidents and to report findings.
- To assist in the transition arrangements at the beginning and end of the year.
- To support Parents' Consultation and information evenings and be available to work on these evenings.
- Meet weekly with HOY to discuss pupils causing concern regarding attendance and behaviour.
