Waingels is seeking to appoint a committed, hard-working Pastoral Mentor to work with Heads of Year and other pastoral colleagues to support students in Key Stage 3/Key Stage 4.

These important non-teaching roles are key parts of our overall strategy to ensure that we are meeting the range of pastoral needs of young people by working with Heads of Year as well as teachers to provide the best possible support for students, enabling them to be successful in all aspects of their school life and help prepare them for the next stage of their learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Pastoral Team to ensure that students are able to access their curriculum and can be a successful Waingels student. Key elements of this role will include:

  • To support Head of Year / Pastoral Team with admin tasks
  • To provide outstanding pastoral care
  • To promote exceptional behaviour, attendance and punctuality
  • To support students with their social, emotional and behavioural needs
  • To communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure students are successful
