What skills and experience we're looking for
The Portsmouth Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to play a key role in promoting high standards of behaviour, attendance and wellbeing across our school community.As part of our committed Pastoral team, you will help ensure that every student feels supported, valued and ready to learn. You will maintain a visible presence throughout the school day, particularly at key transition points helping create a calm, positive and orderly environment in line with the Academy's behaviour and learning policies.

- Work closely with the Pastoral Team to uphold excellent standards of behaviour, attendance and punctuality
- Maintain and update student behaviour records accurately
- Supervise students at key times including before school, during break, lunch and after school
- Support the enforcement of the school's expectations for conduct
- Provide effective administrative support to the Pastoral Team
About You:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- A calm, approachable manner and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Previous experience in a school or education setting is desirable
