Pastoral Support Assistant job summary
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
- Be kind, resilient and committed to inclusive, high‑expectation pastoral care
- Build strong relationships quickly with students, parents/carers and staff
- Support student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing through targeted interventions
- Supervise and support students in reflection/reset environments as required
- Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with relevant staff and agencies
- Be organised, flexible and able to work confidently in a fast‑paced environment
- A strong, supportive pastoral team with a shared commitment to student wellbeing
- Comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development
- A values‑led school with high expectations and a warm‑strict approach to pastoral care

You will be well supported within a collaborative student support team and encouraged to contribute to the wider life and ethos of the College.
