Pastoral Support Assistant job summary

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
  • Be kind, resilient and committed to inclusive, high‑expectation pastoral care
  • Build strong relationships quickly with students, parents/carers and staff
  • Support student behaviour, attendance and wellbeing through targeted interventions
  • Supervise and support students in reflection/reset environments as required
  • Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with relevant staff and agencies
  • Be organised, flexible and able to work confidently in a fast‑paced environment
