Pastoral Support Assistant job summary
- Salary: £17,738 - £18,515 Pro Rata (£20,532 - £21,431 FTE) SAT4
- 37 hours per week,
- Term-time plus 5 staff training days.
We are looking for a Pastoral Support Assistant to work along the Pastoral Support Manager.
The role will include:
- providing pastoral support to students
- Delivering interventions to individual students and small groups
- Supporting students in making good choices in regard to their behavior and learning
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are implemented on a daily basis
- Communication with staff members, external agencies, parents
- Keeping high quality and accurate records including interventions, communication log, Alternative Provision data base
- Providing support within the school environment
- Supporting students in completing a variety of projects such as publishing a school magazine, enterprise projects, school visits.
If you are willing to help our students try to overcome their barriers to learning and you are a proactive, flexible and reliable team player able to use your initiative and make a professional judgement on the spot on choosing the best way of supporting our students within the school environment and you are happy to develop your practice by ongoing learning of new strategies and interventions, we would like to hear from you.
