Teaching Assistant (Pastoral)

The Mill Academyis part of the Hoyland Common Academy Trust (HCAT) and works in close partnership with other schools within the trust. HCAT is rooted in ensuring that children receive world-class education. For January 2026 we are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work under the supervision and direction of the Head of School / Pupil Welfare Lead toprovide specific support to pupils with SEMH needs and SEND needs throughout all aspects of the school day. They will also lead on Emotional support in all areas of the curriculum. In addition,they will work alongside class Teachers to deliver quality first teaching, support the learning of the whole class, small groups and individuals ensuring that they are well cared for and reach their full potential.

Applicants should hold 2 GCSEs at grade 6-9 in English and Maths or equivalent. An appropriate Level 3 qualification is desirable along with qualifications or recent experience inSEMH/SEND within a school setting.
