What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual to join our Pastoral team as a Welfare Officer, specialising in ELSA and first aid support. The successful candidate will be involved with supporting individual students with emotional resilience, working with outside agencies to arrange age related vaccinations and providing first aid to students and staff. Candidates with experience of working alongside students with social, emotional and mental health needs would be welcomed. A first aid qualification is preferable but not essential, as training can be provided. A willingness to learn and work well as a team is essential.

What the school offers its staff

In return we offer a strong commitment to professional development and progression for all staff.

Crookhorn is a vibrant college, offering a rewarding role in a forward looking environment, with innovative community developments and collaborations. The successful candidate will join an enterprising, highly skilled and motivated team of teaching and support staff.

Further details about the role

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks

Further details and an application form are available via our website: www.crookhorn.hants.sch.uk or email: recruitment@crookhorn.hants.sch.uk. For an informal discussion please contact Lorraine Tuff, Assistant Headteacher/Business Manager at Lorraine.tuff@crookhorn.hants.sch.uk. All completed applications to be sent to recruitment@crookhorn.hants.sch.uk or returned to college reception.

The advert may close prior to the stated date and interviews will take place as soon as a suitable field of candidates is obtained, therefore, early submission of applications is recommended.
