What skills and experience we're looking for
Pastoral Wellbeing Lead - Shape Hearts, Minds, and Futures
Are you passionate about being the champion every child deserves? We are seeking an inspiring Pastoral Wellbeing Lead to join our ambitious, tight-knit, and fiercely supportive team.
We are seeking to recruit a Pastoral Wellbeing Lead to join our ambitious and supportive staff for September 2026. In this vital role, you will be the heartbeat of our pastoral and safeguarding team. Working side-by-side with Senior Leaders and Heads of Year, you will directly drive our commitment to outstanding pupil support, creating an environment where every single child feels seen, safe, and ready to learn.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
- Take a key role in safeguarding, ensuring our school remains a sanctuary for vulnerable pupils.
- Work directly with children to break down barriers to learning, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate their triumphs.
- Work closely and compassionately with families, building strong, trusting relationships to support them and ensure a united approach to their child's wellbeing and success. (Partnership with families)
- If you aren’t already a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), we will invest in you. We are looking for the right person, and we have the tools, training, and established framework to elevate your career to the next level.
The Perfect Fit
- A People Person: You have a natural ability to connect with both children and adults, build trust quickly, and navigate sensitive family conversations with empathy and tact.
- Experienced or Adaptable: You bring a proven track record in pastoral care or safeguarding—or you possess the raw talent, empathy, and professional drive to train into a DSL role.
- Ambitious for Children: You believe that a child’s background or vulnerability shouldn't dictate their future. You’re ready to champion our school ethos and watch our pupils thrive.
We offer a collaborative, warm environment where your voice is heard, and your well-being matters just as much as the pupils'. Plus, enjoy a good work-life balance with term-time hours and early finishes on Thursdays and Fridays.
