Redruth School is a successful school set in beautiful West Cornwall. We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Year Lead who is passionate, adaptable and enthusiastic about working with young people within an educational setting. In this role you will take a pro-active role in the support of the educational, social and physical needs of our students, developing positive working relationships with your cohort and their families.
Applicants will need:
- be qualified to ‘A’ level or equivalent
- have the ability to support a year team which consists of approximately10tutors and300students
- have experience of working with young people
- have experience of working with and referring to external agencies that support young people
- have awareness, or experience of working in a trauma informed way
- have excellent communication skills
- have self-motivation and a friendly manner
- have a high standard of computer literacy and excellent organisational skills
- to challenge and support young people to ensure they reach their potential both in terms of character and academic outcomes.
