We offer a broad and ambitious curriculum, including AQA GCSE and A Level Physical Education, Cambridge National Sports Studies at Key Stage 4, and Cambridge Technical Sport at Key Stage 5. A comprehensive programme of extra-curricular activities enriches students’ experiences beyond the classroom and enjoys exceptionally high levels of participation.
Our sporting facilities are superb and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. On site, we benefit from a dedicated gymnasium used as an aesthetic movement space, five tennis courts, basketball and netball courts, a grass playing field, and a full-size artificial turf pitch. In addition, the College has exclusive access to the Sports Hall within the adjacent Leisure Centre, where we also make use of the swimming pool, squash courts and fitness suite. Rugby pitches are conveniently located directly opposite the College site, providing further opportunities for participation and performance.
At Kingsbridge Community College, we are passionate about inspiring every student to develop a lifelong enjoyment of sport, physical activity and healthy living. Our experienced team of seven PE specialists delivers a comprehensive curriculum that promotes participation, achievement and personal development for all students.

About Kingsbridge Community College
An outstanding learning community, where individuals thrive
Welcome to Kingsbridge Community College and thank you for your interest in our school.
We are passionate about learning and ensuring that our learners thrive and grow amidst our beautiful surroundings here in South Devon. We recognise the benefits a first class education brings and encourage our students to be ambitious and bold in their learning journey and to make the most of every opportunity. We are proud of the excellent teaching, care and guidance that we offer, along with first class facilities and a wide range of opportunities in and beyond the classroom. We are justifiably proud of our Outstanding Ofsted judgement, and routinely seek excellence in all that we do.
Year on year, our students attain at the very highest levels and we are proud of our position alongside the very best state comprehensive schools in the South West and nationally. Our examination results are outstanding and the significant majority of our students go on into our 6th Form and from there to university. KCC students are well prepared for their futures and are successful in gaining places at the universities of their first choice; these universities are also ranked among the best in the United Kingdom, indeed internationally, including Oxbridge. We ensure that our students are exceptionally well prepared to make choices about their future, whether that is higher education, training or employment.
We have a strong commitment to developing the whole child and providing a wealth of opportunities beyond the classroom. Our students regularly delight and amaze us with their talents, achievements and successess across a wide range of activities. We organise concerts, festivals, musical productions, plays, competitions, shows, exhibitions and leadership programmes for students and each year we reach national and regional finals in a range of sports and other extra-curricular activities.
We are a Teaching School and as such are committed to providing high quality training and development to new and experienced school staff, raising the standards of provision far beyond our own establishment. In September 2016 we became one of five national Research Schools through a joint project led by The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) and Education Endowment Foundation (EEF). This exciting programme will see the College further develop its use of evidence based practice and expertise across an alliance of schools.
I hope that what you have read gives you a sense of what we value most - an outstanding learning community where individuals thrive. If you wish to be part of our success as a parent, student, employee or friend please do not hesitate to make contact with us to find out more.
