People Administrator job summary
Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust is looking for a committed, enthusiastic and highly organised People Administrator with a strong work ethic to join our People Directorate.
As a valued member of our People Team, you will provide high-quality administrative support across recruitment, payroll and human resources, helping to deliver an efficient and responsive service throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed procedures and timescales.
Working in a busy and fast-paced environment, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing databases and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding.
- Acting as a point of contact for recruiting managers, applicants and interviewees.
- Receiving and responding to all enquiries in a timely way.
- Providing a range of administrative support to managers and staff in our schools and professional services directorates.
- Managing ad hoc administrative project work throughout the year.
As the role involves handling sensitive employee and trust information, you will understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality, accuracy and professionalism.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a supportive team while also taking ownership of their own workload. You will be proactive, organised and adaptable, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

This role is based in our central professional services located at the A30 Business Centre in Okehampton.
Our Trust comprises of 19 schools, 3 Colleges, 15 Primaries, and one All Through SEMH Special school. Established in 2018. We are situated in beautiful Devon on the out the outskirts of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. The schools vary in size and are all unique. Our schools are a large part of their local communities, and we value those relationships with families and locals.

The successful candidate will be required to come to DMAT Central Offices to complete mandatory training.
Training Details:
Location: Central Head Office, A30 Business Park, Okehampton, EX20 1BG
Purpose: To provide comprehensive training on company policies, procedures, and systems necessary for successful integration into the role.
Training Schedule: Daily sessions from 9am to 4pm, with breaks provided.
