People Administrator job summary

Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a passion for people?

GLF schools Wokingham cluster are seeking a dedicated People Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term contract for this academic year. This exciting opportunity involves supporting three schools in the Wokingham area with a wide range of People administration tasks, including recruitment onboarding, compliance checks and data management.  The schools are Floreat Montague Park Primary School, Windmill Primary School and Wheatfield Primary School.

Your Opportunity

Working closely with staff across all three settings and the wider GLF Schools People Team, you'll play a key role in ensuring our processes run smoothly and meet the highest standards—especially around safer recruitment and regulatory compliance. If you thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy variety in your day, and have a keen eye for detail, we’d love to hear from you.

The role is for 25 hours per week, with working days and working pattern to be agreed in consultation with the successful candidate. Occasional flexibility will be required to support OFSTED inspections. As a flexible employer, we are open to exploring flexible working patterns during the interview process.

If you’re skilled, adaptable, and passionate about people and education, we’d love to hear from you.

What we are looking for:

A good awareness and understanding of people administration, to ensure compliance with regulation and procedures

Excellent written and communication skills

Excellent interpersonal, including the ability to form rapport and build good working relationships with others

Flexible approach and the ability to work on their own initiative

A relevant HR qualification equivalent to Level 3 (Foundation Certificate in People Practice) would be advantageous, as would experience of working within a school environment, but neither are essential.
