Are you an experienced Administrator, looking for a Human Resources role that helps shape and impact lives in a community of primary schools? Are you passionate about ensuring processes are carried out in a thorough and methodical way? Do you have experience of managing priorities and working to deadlines, ensuring that you manage information confidentially at all times? Do you enjoy working with people and are you someone committed to developing quality administration in all you do?
St Christopher’s Trust are looking for a People Administrator to join our HR department working across five days per week, with the possibility of a four day pattern for the right applicant. This is an exciting time to join us on our journey and you’ll be part of a team of talented and pro-active HR professionals responsible for a range of tasks including processing payroll changes, supporting safer recruitment, personnel file and data management. You’ll also be passionate about the culture and values of our organisation. During the school term time you will be based in one of our schools in Torquay but we would consider a base in one of our schools in Plymouth or Exeter. In the school holidays we offer the opportunity to work flexibly from home.
You’ll need to have experience within administration in a fast paced environment whilst ensuring accuracy of data, managing multiple systems and have a keen eye for detail and working to deadlines. Previous experience working in HR and / or a school environment would be an advantage, but it is not essential. You’ll relish building relationships with school leaders and staff for your designated schools, delivering a HR service that you’re proud of. You’ll be motivated by working in a team, comfortable with reporting, problem solving and using a range of IT systems. You’ll be happy to work independently, show initiative while following instructions and be a team player. Applicants must demonstrate excellent professional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with a range of people. You will need to be able to travel to any of our schools when necessary to meet the requirements of the role.
As a Trust we offer:
An excellent benefit package including:
· Excellent Local Government Pension Scheme
· Opportunity to take some annual leave entitlement in the term time
· Flexible working conditions – you will be able to work from home during the school’s holiday
· High quality Employee Assistance Programme for staff and their families e.g. 24/7 helpline, counselling
· Continuous professional development including opportunities to undertake HR training and qualifications
For informal enquiries about the role, please email Caroline Cholou-Pitocco, People Coordinator via people@stcmat.org to arrange a conversation.
Your completed application should be submitted online by Monday 16th December 2024 9am. We encourage all applicants to apply using the job description and person specification as a guide to demonstrate skill, experience and suitability for the role being advertised.
