Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive People Officer to join our People and Organisational Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong HR administration experience and exposure to employee relations matters who is looking to broaden their knowledge and develop their advisory skills.

As a key member of our People team, you will provide high-quality support across a wide range of HR activities, helping to ensure colleagues receive a professional, responsive and compliant service throughout their employment journey. Working closely with People Partners and academy leaders, you will support employee relations processes, workforce reporting, wellbeing initiatives and policy implementation, helping to deliver positive outcomes for both staff and our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional HR support across employee relations and people management processes.
  • Coordinate documentation, correspondence and meeting packs for disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance cases.
  • Maintain and monitor employee relations case records, ensuring actions and deadlines are effectively managed.
  • Produce workforce reports and analyse people data, including absence, turnover and other key metrics.
  • Support occupational health referrals and wellbeing-related processes.
  • Assist with HR audits, compliance activities and record management.
  • Manage and respond to enquiries received through the HR advisory inbox.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of people systems, policies and working practices.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working within a busy HR or People function, ideally with exposure to employee relations matters.
  • A sound understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting professional correspondence and reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and SharePoint, and HR systems.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • A proactive, resilient and solution-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
