Performing Arts Teacher - primary job summary
A specialist teacher (or teachers) needed to deliver outstanding music and drama provision to our school. This is a unique position to advertise in a primary school and just illustrates our commitment to the arts.
We take part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival each year and we deliver half termly productions. Each class experiences a “Play in a Day” once per term, linking to quality writing experiences. Staff have all been trained by a professional storyteller and incorporate drama frequently into their lessons.
Our music room has class sets of keyboards, African drums, ukuleles and more! We have singing assemblies each week and a school choir meets after school weekly, performing regularly. In Year 4, all pupils learn either the flute or the trumpet; for those who wish to continue their music tuition beyond Year 4, this is provided FREE OF CHARGE.
