Performing Arts Technician job summary

Ranelagh is an 11-18 co-educational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had five ‘outstanding’ OFSTED reports, with Grade 1 across all areas.

The role will include maintaining and managing equipment in both departments, assisting operating and rigging technical sound and lighting equipment for whole school events (including concerts, productions and assemblies). Duties would involve sourcing stage equipment, scenery, costume and technical equipment as required, whilst working within and managing a budget. The successful candidate will work with external companies, staff and other departments when required. This is a varied role requiring high level practical skills, creative problem solving and excellent organisation and time management.
