- Grade E, SCP 10 - 14 (£26,835 - £28,624 pro rata to hours worked)
What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidates will have:
- NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience or willingness to work towards
- A recognised Early years level 3 qualification
- Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework
- Completion of Department for Education Teacher Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term)
- A full and relevant qualification accepted by the Department for Education (DfE) to work in an early years setting
- Secure knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Statutory Framework.
- Good understanding of a child’s development and learning.
The successful candidates will be able to:
- Support children’s Communication and Language development by engaging in high-quality interactions.
- Use their Initiative and contribute towards creating a stimulating learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching resources or materials.
- Work with groups of children across a range of learning activities.
- Provide support to individual pupils, including those with special educational needs ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Support children with their personal care.
- Communicate sensitively and effectively with all stakeholders including staff, children and parents/carers.
