• Job role:
  • Teaching assistant
• Visa sponsorship: Visas cannot be sponsored
• Key stage: Early years, Key stage 1, Key stage 2
• Working pattern: Full time: 35 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 5 days
• Contract type: Permanent
• Full-time equivalent salary: Grade E, (SCP 10 - 14) - £27,694 - £29,540 (This is the full-time salary. The actual salary will be paid pro rata to hours worked)

What skills and experience we're looking for

What we require: 

• A passion and commitment to working with children with Special Educational Needs and Early Years

• Understanding of the barriers to learning that children with special educational needs may face and be able to use effective strategies to support them 

• Experience of developing learning resources that scaffold and support learning

• Awareness of child development and knowledge of how children learn

• Experience of Working with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school 

• Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers 

• NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience  

• EYFS Level 3 qualification

• Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 1 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework 

• Completion of Department for Education Teaching Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term)
