What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an exceptional Peripatetic Pastoral Support Manager to provide strategic safeguarding leadership and pastoral support across our Devon Academies.

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of our commitment to ensuring every pupil feels safe, valued and supported to succeed. Working collaboratively with pupils, families, staff and external agencies, you will provide expert leadership in safeguarding, pastoral care, attendance and engagement. You will coordinate multi-agency support, advocate for vulnerable young people, and help remove barriers to learning, enabling pupils to achieve positive educational, social and emotional outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding practitioner and leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, can confidently manage complex cases, and is dedicated to making a lasting difference to the lives of children and families. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships, influence practice across teams and agencies, and contribute to the continued development of outstanding safeguarding and pastoral provision across the Trust.

Wave are an established and successful Multi Academy Trust, comprising of Alternative Provision Academies (APAs), Medical Academies (including Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s child and adolescent mental health unit ‘Sowenna’) and a Special Academy.
