Phase Leader job summary
The Governing Body of St. St Francis’ Catholic School are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic practising Catholic, or someone sympathetic to the Catholic Ethos, to the post of Phase Leader (AHT) of our school as from 1st January 2027.
St Francis’ Catholic School is a thriving and vibrant two form entry primary school. It is a fully inclusive community where every individual, and the contributions that they make, are valued. We want our children to experience the pleasure of achieving academic successes, alongside a strong sense of morality and fairness, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. The school is judged both by Ofsted and by our last Catholic School’s Inspection to be a ‘Good’ school.
The successful candidate will:
Be a practicing Catholic or sympathetic to, and supportive of the Catholic ethos.
Be a role model with a clear vision for Catholic education and a commitment to nurturing and promoting our school’s distinctive ethos.
Work with the Head Teacher, Deputy Head and other Phase Leaders to take a key role in the Leadership and Management of the school.
Is someone who will strive to maintain and further enrich the teaching and learning within our school.
Is a leader and innovator who encourages, enthuses and motivates the school community through excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Be an exemplary teacher, sharing excellence and expertise in the development of all staff.
Have a role which includes a class commitment, with guaranteed leadership and management time to fulfil the role.
Be aspirational, with an uncompromising commitment to improving outcomes for all children.
Have proven leadership skills within primary education and experience of leading school improvement.
