Physical Education Faculty - Girls PE Lead job summary
We are seeking to appoint an energetic and creative female teacher to join our successful and dynamic PE Faculty from September 2021 to lead on Girls PE and other areas of development; to develop their career as part of a strong and experienced team resulting in some very strong examination results at GCSE and OCR Applied Courses. Owing to the current gender split in the department, this post is open to female candidates only.
Sports Leadership is a key component of our curriculum as is an extensive offer of clubs and after school fixtures. Both traditional and non-traditional sports are encouraged, although candidates should have strong experience in teaching dance, gymnastics and netball.
The successful candidate will have the ability to embrace the inclusive culture and ethos of the school.
We have been fortunate to have had a new MUGA built and have recently had a substantial rebuild of the main block in the school. We will have a full-sized grass football pitch in September 2021 in addition to two existing gymnasiums and have access to the local Bannisters Athletics Track and Cedars Sports Centre (both within walking distance).
