Play Lead job summary
The Governors of Kelsall Primary and Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Play Lead to join our Before and After School Club.
We are looking for someone who understands what high-quality play provision looks like and who can help ensure that children enjoy a positive, engaging and well-organised start and end to their school day. The successful candidate will plan and facilitate a varied range of enjoyable activities, responding to the different ages, interests and needs of the children attending.
The Play Lead will take a key role in the day-to-day running of the club, working closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach and helping to create an environment where children feel happy, included and well supported. They will be confident in guiding and supporting other members of the team, communicating expectations clearly and modelling positive, professional practice.
We are looking for someone who is warm, approachable, organised and able to use their initiative, with a good understanding of play, child development and positive behaviour support. They will build strong relationships with children, colleagues and families and share our commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high-quality care.
The role is Monday to Thursday 2.30pm - 6.00pm and Friday 2.30pm - 5.00pm.
