Play Team Member job summary
At Treeton C of E Primary School, we are looking for two friendly, dedicated, and caring individuals to join our lunchtime/play team. We are committed to providing a high-quality, safe, and nurturing environment for our pupils.
Treeton is a growing average-sized primary school situated in the village location of Treeton, South Yorkshire. We are rated by OFSTED as a ‘good’ school. We are a Church of England school, with our motto ‘Let your light shine’ being a key feature of the school. Our site has lots of resources, including a pond, garden area with polytunnel, a large field and playground, and much more!
The Role
- Supervision: Monitor children in the playground or school field during lunchtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Activity Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and creative indoor/outdoor play activities suitable for various ages.
- Engagement: Promote positive play, social interaction, and inclusivity among students.
- Safety & Welfare: Ensure all areas are safe, manage equipment, and offer support to children, including those with additional needs.
- Liaison: Work effectively with the wider team and report any concerns to the Play Coordinator or senior staff.
About You
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is desirable.
- A passion for play, creativity, and encouraging active, fun playtimes.
- Patient, caring, and able to build positive relationships with children.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
