Play Worker - After School job summary

The Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust are looking for an After School Club Play Worker to join the Young Explorers team at Meadow View Academy.

Meadow View Academy is situated next to Doe Bank Wood, in a pleasant area with extensive school grounds. Barr Beacon is just on our doorstep! Our School vision is Dream, Believe, Achieve and all children receive a high standard of education within a happy, caring and safe environment that enables them to enjoy learning and achieve their full potential. We are proud to be part of the Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust, made up of nine schools all working collaboratively.

Main Responsibilities (see attached job description for further details):

• To work directly with children and young people in a primary setting. To provide children and young people with opportunities for freely chosen, self-directed play.
• To support the provision of a child centred environment where children are looked after in a safe, caring and stimulating way, ensuring their individual needs are met within a group setting in accordance with the clubs policies and procedures and Ofsted regulations.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
