Playworker (Level 3)
Woodchurch Road Academy is embarking on an exciting new chapter of transformation and growth, having joined Cheshire Academies Trust in October 2023. With a new Senior Leadership Team, a refreshed ethos, and a strong focus on positive change, the school is quickly becoming a hub of opportunity for staff, pupils, and the local community.
Role Overview
Woodchurch Road Academy are excited to launch a brand new wraparound club, supported by a local authority grant.
As a Level 3 Playworker, you will play a key role in shaping a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children after school. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something new and make real difference in the school community from day one.
The role is term time only (38 weeks), working 16 hours per week: 3.00pm-6.15pm Monday to Thursday, and 3.00pm-6.00pm on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a range of stimulating, inclusive, and age-appropriate activities for children aged 4-11.
- Ensure a safe, caring and welcoming environment.
- Prepare and serve healthy snacks in line with food hygiene standards.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and club policies and procedures at all times.
- Assist with daily set up and tidy-up of lay spaces and resources.
- Contribute to a positive team ethos and support the development of the club as it grows.
