What skills and experience we're looking for

The children, staff and Governors of Ecclesfield Primary School are looking to appoint a Playworker.

At Ecclesfield we understand that play is a vital part of a child’s development. Playing helps children’s brains to develop and their language and communication skills mature. Therefore, we are looking to recruit a playworker to add to our already dedicated team.

We are looking for someone to join us who wants to work directly with the children, leading play activities and overseeing the children. There will be some supervision of the children having their lunch either in the classroom or dining halls.

The successful candidate will understand how to

  • Communicate effectively with children and staff members
  • Promote positive behaviour
  • Encourage children to play well together
  • Delivering creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
