What skills and experience we're looking for
Main responsibilities will be:
- The delivery of creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
- The provision of full care for the children including safe collection from classrooms
- Monitoring and assisting children with the snacks and food service
- Assist in the preparation of appropriate play activities
- Setting out, clearing away and maintaining materials and equipment required by the children
- Administering basic first aid as appropriate
- Encouraging support and involvement in play activities
- Maintain close liaison with parents and other extended services staff
- Carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities framework.
- Attend relevant meetings as required
- Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
- Any other related duties and responsibilities as may arise but which do not change the character of the post
- Can be flexible if cover for sickness is required

Nook Lane Junior School is an academy school, part of Peak Edge Trust, catering for children between the ages of 7 and 11. We are a warm, welcoming school that serves the local Stannington area and the wider Sheffield community, incorporating a 13 place Integrated resource (IR) for children with autism/communication difficulties. Including children from the IR, we currently have 242 pupils in total.
The school is situated in the heart of the Stannington community, amid lush surroundings, overlooking the Loxley Valley and offering outdoor facilities for sports and leisure.
