is seeking to appoint
Playworker (Before and After School Club)
Payscale: Grade 4
10 hours 50 minutes per week, term time only.
Monday – Friday 7.30am - 8.40am and 2 afternoons 3pm - 5.30pm
St Botolph’s are looking for an enthusiastic playworker who will assist in the day to day organisation of the breakfast and after school club. To supervise and take care of the children in all areas inside and outside of the school.
The successful candidate will:
· be enthusiastic
· hold GCSE’s grades 4-9 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
· hold current First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates or a willingness to undertake training
· have experience of working in an educational or childcare setting with children
· be able to communicate clearly and positively with staff, parents and pupils
· be keen to work within a team environment to facilitate a range of play based activities.
· be flexible to the school's needs.
The role will be to assist in planning, organising and participating in a range of stimulating and developmental activities for our pupils. The successful candidate will be assisting in collecting pupils from class and ensuring safe collection by parent/carers at the end of their session. They will have the supervision, safety and welfare of children in mind at all times. They will also communicate with children, staff and parents on a daily basis, doing so politely and clearly. The right candidate will carry out duties to ensure children have refreshments and that the eating area is keep clean and tidy throughout the session. They will also demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to training and development.
