Post 16 Leader (Fixed term) job summary

We are looking for a Post 16 Leader to join our team here at Purple Oaks Academy!

About the role:

As the academy seeks to enhance and develop the Post 16 provision here at Purple Oaks Academy this is a fixed term opportunity for an experienced or aspirational leader to undertake the role at a crucial time in the Post 16 journey.

As an experienced teacher you will lead by example in Post 16. There is a 0.6 FTE (60%) teaching commitment in Post 16.

As a leader you will enhance and implement the Post 16 curriculum and teaching provision to ensure it meets the needs of students. You will ensure the generous Post 16 spaces is fully utilised and developed. You will ensure all teaching and support staff are fully supported to meet the students' needs. About us:

Our purpose built building opened in January 2018 and provides 100 places for students (4-16) with a diagnosis of autism and/or Severe Learning Difficulties. A satellite building, based at Green Oaks Primary Academy opened in September 2024 and has space for 20 students . The academy is very popular and currently has 122 students on roll from Reception to Year 13. Our students have a complex range of needs and cover a full breadth of academic ability.

The Academy currently has 94 students on roll from Reception to Year 10 and will grow to 100 in September 2021 with Reception to Year 11.
