Do you have a passion for supporting young people to succeed?

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and caring individual to join our Post-16 team as a Student Services, Welfare and Administration Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with young people, build positive relationships and make a genuine difference to their educational experience and future aspirations.

About the Role

As a first point of contact for students, you will provide high-quality support across attendance, welfare and student services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the college.
  • Monitoring attendance, identifying concerns and working with students, parents/carers and staff to improve outcomes.
  • Providing front-of-house support through the Student Services office.
  • Supporting student welfare, first aid and medical needs.
  • Maintaining accurate student records and administrative systems.
  • Working closely with safeguarding, SEND and pastoral colleagues to provide coordinated support for students.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers and colleagues.
  • A calm, professional approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A commitment to promoting student wellbeing, attendance and achievement.

  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme which provides confidential professional advice and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • £2k Cycle to work scheme.
