PPA Cover Teacher job summary

We are looking for a great classroom teacher to join our team covering maternity leave. The post will be for two terms, staring on the 1st September 2026, to 21st May 2027or until the return of the current post holder from Maternity Leave.

As a qualified teacher at Old Trafford Community Academy, you will want the children you teach to reach the highest possible standards they can; you will provide a nurturing environment where children want to learn by delivering engaging lessons that will inspire and challenge children

A good knowledge and understanding of subjects and curriculum areas is essential as is being able to plan appropriately for the differing needs of your class. You will build & positive relationships to support pupil wellbeing and achievement

You will be team player, someone who works well with colleagues in their own year groups, phase and across the whole school.

You will work alongside class teachers across the school to cover PPA time, ensuring continued delivery of high quality teaching
