What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Successful experience of teaching in a primary school.
- Secure knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to establish positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils.
- Sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Flexible, adaptable and able to teach confidently across different year groups.
Desirable
- Experience of teaching across the primary age groups.
- Experience of delivering lessons from pre-prepared planning as well as planning independently where required.
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
- Knowledge of current educational developments and effective primary pedagogy.
