What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Successful experience of teaching in a primary school.
  • Secure knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils.
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to teach confidently across different year groups.

Desirable

  • Experience of teaching across the primary age groups.
  • Experience of delivering lessons from pre-prepared planning as well as planning independently where required.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and adapting teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Knowledge of current educational developments and effective primary pedagogy.
